Warning signs warn of particular danger. (unofficial translation)
Most warning signs are triangular with a red border and a white background. Temporary warning signs for roadworks may have a yellow background. Some warning signs have other shapes; use the individual figures below to recognise them.
A fareskilt on its own does not prohibit anything and does not alter the speed limit — it informs you of a specific danger ahead. Your responsibility is to identify what danger it is (a sharp bend, steep gradient, animals on the road, junction) and prepare accordingly: ease off the accelerator, increase vigilance, and be ready to brake. Signs are posted in advance of the hazard; if the distance or hazard length is non-standard, a supplementary plate beneath the sign specifies it.
When practising, identify the hazard and decide how to respond to the actual conditions. Distinguish similar signs by their symbols. Adapt your speed and readiness to stop; do not choose an answer solely from a memorised phrase.
